Media for Development’s mission is to use the untapped potential of media to empower communities and individuals to change their lives for the better. MFD’s projects in the UK include a multi-award winning training initiative operating within the criminal justice system and work with young people within gypsy and traveller communities.
As part of our strategy to create diverse income streams for the organisation MFD has recently established a new training and events space, Sparkbox, based in Hoxton Square. The space will be available for commercial hire with all profits generated going to support the development of new projects by MFD.
We are now ready to market Sparkbox to potential clients. We are seeking a confident and proactive intern to support the direct marketing activity for Sparkbox including telephone research, mail shots and other ad-hoc activities. We would also welcome ideas for other low cost, innovative marketing activities.

Delivery of BTEC qualifications at HMP Wandsworth and HMP Downview
We are happy to accept CVs from appropriately qualified digital media, video, and radio professionals/teachers as we have an on-going but occasional requirement to deliver BTEC National Awards in UK prisons. You will be employed through our education partner and will contribute to a highly successful portfolio of media programmes.
